  • come to the point in life where a living practical meditation discipline may be possible, and worthwhile learning.
  • let go of all the comments that others have said about ‘how hard meditation is’
  • an interest to ‘give it a go’ and see what happens

  • a need to know how to ‘clear’ the mind, rather than merely manipulate or suppress its contents into the unconscious
  • insight that there are different types of meditation in different cultures and for different psychological types
  • an inkling that there is a difference between what is taught publicly today as so-called ‘scientific meditation’ and ‘mindfulness’, and that which is ‘true meditation’ which liberates consciousness from mental modifications.

5. Steps to Reflexive Self-Consciousness Part 1

6 Week Meditation Course

All sincere Meditation, regardless of orientation and tradition, aims ultimately at Reflexive Self-Consciousness.

Meditation which aims at less than this is self-involved, privated, and leads only to egoic manipulation and egoic identification, with all the limitations which this implies. No ultimate enrichment of soul eventuates. The individual becomes progressively more cunning and versatile in private purposes and offers little to advancement of consciousness in themselves or in others.

Meditation which aims at Reflexive Self-Consciousness brings the individual progressively towards and into total self-determination and freedom. Reflexive Self-consciousness brings the individual into correspondence with total reality, and maximum self-response-ability; the expansion of consciousness enabling greater true-Self understanding at the level of the Unifield and Macrocosmos.

This Course shows a beginner’s way of approach to the writing RELEXIVE SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS by Eugene Halliday. It introduces a practical and clear beginning for those who would like to understand what Reflexive Self-consciousness is, and how to approach its development in themselves.

General Course Outline

  • What is Consciousness?
  • Modifications of Consciousness.
  • Identification and Breaking Identification.
  • Reflexivity of Consciousness.
  • Eastern Meditation applications of Reflexive Self-Consciousness
  • Western Meditation applications of Reflexive Self-Consciousness

  • are interested to understand the relation between the Mind and the process of Reflexive Self-Consciousness in themselves

This Course is open to all and has no pre-requisites.

Course time: 2 hrs/week, 6 consecutive weeks
